At the
time when we were deciding which breed of big dogs to choose,
the Tibetan Mastiff attracted us by its appearance at first. The
nature is, however, much more important, and we took to the
dignified nature of the Tibetan Mastiff, which is reserved
towards strangers but nice towards family members. What did we
want? In the year 1991 our three children were relatively young,
so the most important thing was that the dogs and the children
should like and uderstand each other. What we further expected
from our future friend was both the care and the feeding in
adulthood without excessive demands, the ability to guard
without any special training, no great need to be walked and
hardiness. We did not need an absolutely obedient dog, but a
sensible friend and guard dog. As we were getting to know the
Tibetan Mastiff´s nature, we came to realise that it was ideal
for us. We could give them a lot of love, enough time and
understanding. And so we brought home two beautiful bushy little
bears, our first two bitches Anik-Chin and Bali Alatna on 30
December 1992
The little dog-girls grew quickly and we were lucky, they
were exactly as we had imagined them, they grew up to become two
beauties, so dog shows started. Bali became the first
Interchampion from Czech breeding, Aisha was also successful. We
decided to start breeding and we kept female Annabell from the
first litter (she became the second Interchampion from Czech
breeding), and we were already pondering what to do next. We
brought a male Of Zlazano Lhako from Finland and we were
choosing other suitable partners for our females. All our
Tibetan Mastiffs were black and tan, but blue and tan is also
interesting colour. This decided our future steps: we kept Eli.
Ellisabeth is female with a pleasant nature, exceptionally
beautiful. In the year 1999 we brought home our little darling,
male Phou-Sheng des Mille Vallees from France. Tashi, as we
called him, was amazing. We liked his appearance and nice
nature. In the year 2000 there were very few golden Tibetan
Mastiffs in Czech Republic. The golden female of my dreams Chua-Jen was
born as the first puppy in the litter. Thanks to Bali, my dream
came true. Some of our dog-friends have already left us, but
their offsprings live with us
And Eli?
In the year 2003 we took her to our first World Dog Show,
thinking how fine it would be to gain fifth place. There were 8
females in Champion Class with Eli. And Ellisabeth won, she got
the title World Winner! We achieved another great success at
World Dog Show 2006 in Poznan, Poland, at which Mimayin Strazce
z Tibetu (son of Falco Strazce z Tibetu and Chua-Jen Strazce
z Tibetu) got title World Winner too. At 2009 Ellisabeth
and Irdlow got World Veteran Winner, female Xenie Strazce z
Tibetu World Junior Winner...
The Tibetan Mastiff evokes the image of a huge dog by its
very name. That´s why our main aim is to breed not only healthy,
but also nice and large dogs with beautiful movement and correct
legs. So far we have been successful, the majority of our males
are more than 72 cm tall and have nice movement.
Our family of dogs has grown and I´m glad we´ve got many
friends among the owners of our puppies. We would like to thank
all who look after our dogs-children and we wish them a lot of
pleasure in their life with Tibetan Mastiffs.
